It is an electromagnetic sensor that measures the jaw activity through its three components: mandibular movement, mouth opening, and nervous gnathic twitch. The JAWAC is the only technology with sufficient spatial resolution (0.01 mm) to detect the tiny mandibular oscillations (0.3 mm) induced by respiratory effort.
